Fall in Vermont

The big question around here is when will the rain stop?
Big storm late this afternoon and the wind was blowing hard.
Blew the flower pots off the front porch and millions of leaves danced off the trees and across the fields.

The local round barn

Fields of painted trees

                                                             Waiting for apples and squash

The grass is still green and lush.

The bulls "date of the day."

Wet moms and calves

Mountainsides of color

Hope you are all enjoying the cooler weather and the fabulous colors

  1. I miss seeing the colors of Vermont. We used to go to Benson every fall...this weekend, in fact! It's a beautiful state! Our colors are just beginning to show here.

  3. Very little color here and it doesn't look like there will be much this year.

But the pastures should easily hold out well into November, so it will cut the hay bill dramatically.

All this rain is going to take some getting used to. I've read that New England is due to be much wetter from global warming..

  4. Vermont has such wonderful color. The round barn is amazing. I have many pictures of round barns and buildings from a trip we took to Lake Placid, NY. Amazing! I love your cow pictures.
