Saw a nice barn on my journey to visit a friend, so I turned around and went back to take a few photos and explore.
Down the road a bit I saw this horse enjoying the sunshine and wondered how long it would take for him to notice me.
Have a great day!

I am a firm believer in taking the road less traveled! You have discovered and shared with us so many interesting sights. I do hope you find information on the castle, there must be an interesting story behind it...and the tree...more than likely a sad story...Have a good weekend, Julie.
ReplyDeleteI think he noticed you! No farmers around??
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one doing u-turns on Vermont roads to take photos of barns. I'm often afraid the owner will see me walking around with my camera. The horse is beautiful! I consider them a nice bonus when I stop.
ReplyDeleteWhat is there about a barn that is so appealing? Great looking and it also looks like its a working barn. Handsome horse, I bet he was looking for a little treat.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great barn, definitely worth turning around for a few pictures!
ReplyDeletehey, pretty horse. what a beauty. i love the little white window. neat shots!! ( :
ReplyDeleteI came for the barn, but have to tell you that I totally love your header shot. Loved the barn, too, but I have a thing for cattle in snow.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great little barn. I love the little peak.
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely worth turning around for and the horse noticed you alright. : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I am always passing by then turning back to take pictures of barns;). Twyla
ReplyDeleteLovely series of photos and a wonderful turn-around barn! I've gotten my hubby to turn around many times, but also there are so many barns that I wish we had went back for. Can't do it on all of them though when you are traveling or you would never get to where you are going. Looks like the horse was wondering if you had any treats.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful barn (and a lovely horse.) Sad to think so many of these wonderful old wood barns are disappearing.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots I agree that horse definitely spotted you heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantabulosa week ;-)
What a lovely drive you have taken and great pics, thanks for sharing!! Hope you can stop by Tasty Spot Tuesday & Oh! My Heartsie WW w/Linky
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
So beautiful and rustic! Oh, how I would love to go exploring in that neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteI never get enough of red barns and the rural lifestyle :) Happy WW :)

I found it very interesting that one side of the barn, the paint is very faded... but the other side the paint looks in good shape. Did the sun do that or did they just paint one wall and not the other?
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's as interested in you as you are in him and the barn. :) Great pics.
ReplyDeleteThe back roads are the ones I find most picturesque and inspiring
