Barnyard Babes

A nice crisp day here and perfect for a drive to go see some cows in the neighborhood.

I came upon this heifer barn at a local dairy and stopped to admire the girls as they ate their breakfast out of their feed bunk.

Cows are always curious.  She was checking me out.

She called her 2 friends over..

Mavis, the cow dog, was getting nervous.  She dislikes being in close proximity to bovines.

I love cows of a different color....

And in almost every crowd there is a .......

I was going to say red head, but the first cow by the fence checking me out was a dark red and this one is a dark golden blonde.

Got a favorite cow color?

  6. Blondes have more fun, after all... or so they say!

  7. I like them all, but I do think that the brown ones are kind of cuter than the rest...

  8. I have a cute print hanging on my wall at work with a black and white "cow print" as the matt board; it's sorta makes me fall for the B&W now! {:-D

  9. I have really enjoyed visiting your blog today and although the start of this comment is Generic to others today I will personalise at the end. I know what its like to not have many visitors so may aim is to say hi to everyone of you .
I love cows they look such beautiful creatures

  10. great post, nothing like being outdoors with nature and animals to keep a person centered

  11. When we were living in Oklahoma we came across a group of cows by a fence. They just stopped and looked at us. Then I decided to moo like a cow. I thought I'd communicate with them. They looked startled and ran away. So much for talking to cows.

  12. I don't know that I have a favorite cow color but the contrast of the blonde is amazing.

There is always that unique one of the bunch that stands out.

Thanks for sharing this fun-filled adventure with us!

    Brilliant job!
