Jersey Girls in the Field

I saw some beautiful organically raised Jersey milk cows out in their lush field a few days ago.
All the rain last week really got the grass growing!
I drove down the old road and visited with these very content girls.
Here are a few photos of this nice herd.

Healthy cows make healthy milk, cheese, yogurt, kefir and ice cream.

Support your local cows.

Have you got a favorite dairy breed?

  1. Yes we do have our fav: Jersey. My husband's family had a dairy herd years ago, all jersies, including some shipped from Vermont. Great photos. The ladies look very content. We have our milk home delivered in glass from a local dairy. Best milk.

  2. I'd have to say my favorite is Holstein...I think the Jerseys and Brown Swiss are really, really pretty, but we have some Jersey crosses in our herd, and we don't care for their personalities! :)
