The Rural View, Today

45 degrees and foggy most of the day.

Quiet farms and stoic maple trees.

Vermont crop circles....elongated on snow dusted hills.

Phantom deer tracks and a lonely Charlie Brown tree.

Silent ponds and gray skies

Did you have a foggy day today?

  2. Hi Janis, your weather is our weather here in Maine. Very slippery on the roads this morning.I had to go to the mall, ughhhh... I have to tell you my girls are a very hardy lot. They do not seem to mind the snow or rain, it's the wind that bothers the girls the most...The coyote remains close by so my flock remains behind lock and key. I admit I have been spoiling my girls with warm oatmeal and blueberries. When the temperature dips below zero I turn on a heat lamp, do you use one with your flock? I know there are varying opinions on this subject, however I have been using the lamp going on four years with no ill effect. Winter is on it's way, greetings from Maine, Julie.

  5. Nope, snowed here, then rained so there's no snow left. To be mid 50's and clear today, they say.
